Are you a performer looking for a venue in the heart of Brisbane’s nightlife district? King Lear’s Throne would be very keen to host your next event. Located at 3/693 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, this venue is best suited for audiences of 50-100.
Genres + Schedule
Open 4pm-midnight, 7 days a week. There are 2 rooms in the venue: the band room which can be ticketed (pictured below) and the seating area which is where you enter the venue.
King Lear’s Throne is ideal for hardcore punk, rock and metal bands, or anything heavy-hitting that slaps! Recent events with The Note Network here include a Saturday night gig with Cult Choir, TOAK, Frozen Eddie and Lahn.
Stage + Payment Details
The stage has a backline consisting of a PA, 4 vocal mics and stands, guitar head & cab, bass head & cab, and a drum kit (minus the sticks, stool, snare and cymbals). Events are typically 3-4 hours with short breaks in between.
Ticket prices are decided by the artists. Typically they fall in the $15-20 range. The venue asks for $300 hire and $200 for a sound engineer, however, they will waive these charges if they make $3,500 over the bar, which is often achievable at this venue.
Bookings through The Note Network include a door person, payment processing, printed posters up to A1 size, and online promotion. Spare drum parts, cables, or a DI can be brought if you ask in advance.
